When Drawn from Bees formed in late 2008, they declared that they would record and release four EPs within their first two years. Ahead of time, the band is throwing a party to launch their fourth instalment at The Troubadour on Saturday 27th March. Fear Not the Footsteps of the Departed is a very special record. Aside from being the crowning piece of a four-part series, this full-length offering broadens the musical wanderings of the band.
Those familiar with previous Drawn from Bees releases will be used to the band’s penchant for bringing literature, art and music together in their story-weaving. Fear Not… continues the band’s narrative, this time addressing earthier issues of love, longing and life itself. It has been an opportunity for the band to explore some of the darker, more sombre shadows,while at the same time enjoying their time spent in the light. You could almost say that this record is elemental.
