PRESS
“This self-titled debut features exquisitely crafted numbers, delicate and considered in their composition yet intensely executed. It’s astounding that this is their debut.“ - Mess  and  Noise

“A new duo (of cousins no less) from Melbourne have really blown my hair back with their debut. Their lo-fi first album is stripped back indie rock, folk melodies, heart breaking chords and simply great songwriting.“ - Zan  Rowe, Triple J

“I’m blown away by this Kid Sam album. Its such a great album and hard to believe it’s their debut. I’m hoping by the end of 2009 this is as successful as it deserves to be.”

- Chris  Crouch   (Candle Records) Polyester Records

“That Kieran infuses his songs with peculiar narratives that play out according to his own world view, is a handsome and absorbing rarity.“ - www.thevine.com.au

“It’s an absorbing and enjoyable introduction to the dynamic style and range of the band’s work, moving through gentle, affecting acoustic melodies to more menacing percussive displays and thoughtful, heart-felt lyricism.“- Triple  R

“It’s their creative chemistry, and ability to create binding and timeless songs however, that sets them apart. With Kid Sam, the stars have aligned: attention to songwriting collides with an unaffected recording ability, a work ethic and a knack for disarming lyricism. Hallelujah. I bet they can cook too.“ - Steph Hughes, Triple J
