While we might not be serving dagwood dogs or fairy floss, the Troubadour will taking advantage of the Ekka public holiday on Wednesday by opening Tuesday night, just for something different. Rest assured that despite the lack of ferris wheels and bumper cars, the fun will be flowing ten-fold as the kind faces behind Footstomp Music have put together a very special tribute to The Clash and will be ploughing on into the evening. The Q Song Awards are on the same evening so if you’re attending, head over post-ceremony where you can either indulge in a celebatory drink or perhaps drown your sorrows. Either way, it’ll be a top night for all.
The rest of the week is stellar with locals Dave Di Marco, Grand Atlantic and The Gamble Sisters putting together shows while the Lovers Of Modern Art make their Troub debut at the Late Show and recent Rolling Stone-featured Melbourne three-piece The Red Tree show Brisbane what they’re made of.
